Here are my best projects from my first year studying Graphic Design at College, there is a variety of design, I hope you all enjoy, any opinions on improvement I'm happy to read :) Thank you
Album Cover Project
For this project I chose the band Krewella, they are a Dubstep, Techno band. So I chose for my first design, an explosive orb, to make this I used the program Cinema 4D R14, using a plugin called Greeblr, which grabs any object and completely distorts it into something amazing. For my second design, I thought about how sound waves work, and put them into a techno style over the band name.
Self Branding Project
For this project, I was asked to design my own professional logo, I decided to make the logo on the left my current brand. The logo is made up of my initials, the "L" on the left for "Lee". An upside down backwards "J" for my middle name "Jools". And the negative space "H" in the middle for my last name "Houselander". For my other design, I went for more of a typography crest style.
T-shirt Project
For our T-shirt design project, I used one of my Illustrations and my best one so far, my Batman and Joker, and I took the colour out and left it as a Black and White Illustration. For my other design, I went for more of a Typography gaming style, stating that gamers cannot be controlled sometimes, especially during a game of Call of Duty! :D
Typography Poster Project
We were asked to chose any font we like, and design a poster for that specific font, the font I chose was "Alien League". So of course I had to make an Alien out of the type!
Magazine Cover Project
One of my favourite projects at college, for this we were asked to choose a sterotypical type of character from a person. My chosen subject were Geeks and Gamers, thus creating "Gamer Geek Magazine" with this project I learnt how to use Indesign, which is pretty much an Advanced Microsoft word, but never the less, I'm really pleased with the outcome, and could potentially see this being a Gaming Magazine.
